Did you ever wish to play an instrument (or actually do)? Well, here in Prelude you can!
How? You might ask... Well, it's a simple process. Just keep reading if you want to know more
First, you get to choose one of the following paths for your career as a musician:
~ Singer
~ Guitarist
~ Bass player
~ Keyboard player
~ Drummer
Then, the idea is to get your instrument and upgrade it until you find yourself in the uppermost level, in which case you will find a lot more opportunities.
There are five stages in each instrument, and of course, requirements to advance through them
Level zero
Instruments of level zero are simply toy instruments. They are worth 15 each, and prejoiners get them for free. There is no other requirement to get your toy instrument, other than having enough notes to buy it.
Level one
Picture a garage band, formed by kids not older than 17. Picture the instruments they would use. That is the quality of a level one instrument. They're not really great, but they're more than enough for an apprentice.
Garage instruments are worth 40 each, and you cannot buy them unless you have the same instrument from the previous level. Also, to be able to buy these instruments, you must fullfill all the requirements below:
- Be a Stalker (level 2)
- Have in your posession at least one card from the Icky Thump set (which you cannot buy from the store)
- Have in your posession any card that features a girl
- Have in your posession any card that features a prop, set or background image
Level two
A level two instrument is more than perfect to play small gigs in bars or clubs. They're still not the best kind, but it's a huge advance since the last one you had, right? That's why these are worth 75 and have the following requirements:
- Be a Backstage worker (level 4)
- Have traded cards with at least five people
- Have at least 10 posts in the forum
- Have made at least one donation to the site
Level three
A level three instrument is the first step to great success! If you got this far it means you're doing well, and can even do better. A well-played instrument from this level could be easily mistaken by one of the most expensive ones, even if it isn't. You can get these babies at the convenient price of 110 each. That, plus the requirements, of course:
- Have over 500 cards
- Have made at least 15 trades with other members
- Customize your instrument: to do this you need to save the picture of your instrument and play with it in whatever program you prefer, until you make your ideal instrument AND the instrument of your nightmares. Your images will have to be posted in the forum for us to see and approve =D

Level four
This is as good as you can get. A level four instrument is the kind that you'd see in the best stages of the whole world. These pieces will never fail to you, and hence, are priced accordingly: 160 each. Requirements:
- Have over 600 cards
- Have 30 posts or more at the forum
- Have donated one set of level badges
- Copy any musician's make up in you and show us a picture (again, in the forum)
